For over a decade, Matt has worked as a consultant and designer on projects across the US and internationally. Matt is currently designing a new 600-seat, multi-tiered opera house for the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University (now in construction). Recently completed projects include the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City with Pelli Clark Pelli Architects, and The Anthem in Washington DC with Rockwell Group for the legendary 9:30 Club team. Matt has also worked with the Metropolitan Opera Guild, where he developed a pilot program in production design and regularly led workshops in New York City schools. Matt studied scenic design with Marjorie Bradley Kellogg at Colgate University and continues to design for both theatre and film. In 2011, Matt was nominated for a NY Innovative Theatre Award and was named one of NYTheatre.com's 'People of the Year' in 2010.
